Our sangha meets regularly on Monday nights from 7-8:30 pm. We always begin with a chanting service, which is typically followed by 2 periods of sitting meditation or zazen of 25 minutes each. Prior to the first period of zazen, and between the first and second sittings, there is a period of walking meditation or kinhin. Occasionally our guiding teacher, James Cordova, will provide a dharma talk or teisho, or private interviews or dokusan. We close with announcements and introductions promptly at 8:30 pm.
Those new to Zen practice, or just new to our sangha, should arrive at 6:45 pm for orientation.
